Facades - The Long Run

When I am running along, alone,
the frozen particles of the wind
melting in my eyes,
I forget all my illusions.

Time appears as it is, a blank white disc
that is too bright to look at.

I forget who I am, and the names of things,
even my memories become tiny,
almost extinguished.

Sitting down to meditate is the same as running.
All is lost, or given away,
and I become the center of nothingness.

Black crows and swirling gray clouds
are my companions today.
How much longer can I run, and see?

My legs pulling me along,
I lose hope of ever finding out,
an endless road before me.

Nice poetic ruminations...
I've been meaning to ask you about "The Yellow Door" I absolutely love that picture. Did you create it? Also, what can you tell me about the girl.
That picture's been gracing my computer wallpaper for a couple of weeks now.
Sounds like you'll recover well from the Riddle run. Good to hear.

Thanks for stopping by, JD.

Yes, I created The Yellow Door. It was the last of 3 from the seductive women series I did a few weeks ago.

I like all 3 of those pictures simply because they are a departure from what I usually make.

I am not sure what to say about it, other than it is a haunted dream picture which makes me wonder what would happen if I were allowed to enter through the yellow door.

I don't know anything about the girl, although if I were to step through the door, maybe I could find something out :)

Thanks for the response. There's just something so meaningful about the girl in the collage. Her eyes, her facial expression, just her whole body language I guess. It seems to blend perfectly with the "Hope" picture in the background. Of course the yellow door is the perfect metaphor for life's unknown element.
I just got done reading Greg report from the 100kout. Good stuff. You guys make me want to run an ultra...maybe...someday...
